About Ms. Schwartz:

Hello! My name is Sara Schwartz and I love being part of the second grade team! This is my  third year at PCK. In the spring of the 2020-2021 school year, I completed my student teaching at PCK with the second grade team! I just couldn't stand to leave so I became a permeant part of the team.. My educational philosophy is that every child that enters my room will learn no matter what. I also believe that every student that enters has something to teach me as well. I am a strong believer in teaching my students mindfulness and manners and will be doing so through multiple activities throughout the year.

Prior to my time at PCK, I grew up in Parker, Colorado. I graduated from Chaparral High School and went to the University of Northern Colorado to continue my education. I graduated in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. This fall, I am embarking on a journey to completing my Masters in Elementary Instruction &  Cirriculum. It has been a lifelong dream of mine (I mean, when I was seven I asked Santa for an overhead and to turn our basement into a classroom), to become a teacher, specifically teaching second grade!

A couple of quick things about me! My hobbies include running, traveling, baking, playing with my dog, and spending time with my family. I have a younger brother who is a Junior at the Air Force Academy. He will continue to play hockey for them as he finishes out his cadet career!

I'm so excited to have your sweet kiddo in my class this year and know our community will be fantastic! If you have any concerns or questions, you can reach me at sschwartz@ckcs.net, and I will try to respond within 24 hours. I look forward to what this year will have in store for all of us, it is going to be AMAZING!
